From Rock Star to Reinvention: Walking Off the Stage to Find a New Path

Today on Curveball, I’m chatting with Bobby Owsinski – a guy who went from being a professional touring musician to, well, just about everything else. Seriously. He’s a music producer, author, blogger, podcast host, and probably a few other things he hasn’t even mentioned yet.

Bobby’s story is all about letting go of what you think your career should look like and saying yes to what actually lights you up. After leaving the touring life behind, Bobby reinvented himself – and then kept reinventing. He’s written over 30 books (five of which are used as college textbooks), published more than 3,000 blog posts, and hosts a podcast that’s ranked in the top 1% globally. Casual.

We also get into the good stuff – his stories from working with legends like Chicago, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Iron Maiden, The Ramones, and The Who. Oh, and the time he almost landed a song on a Michael Jackson album? You’re gonna want to hear how that one turned out.

And because Bobby’s all about helping others, he’s dropping some gems from his Mix Fix Playbook – practical, no–nonsense tips for fixing common mixing issues. Whether you’re in the music biz or just trying to figure out your next move, Bobby’s got some serious wisdom to share.
